Tupper Lake Woodsmen’s Days Parade
The Franklin County Bicentennial Commission is pleased to be the official sponsor of the Tupper Lake Woodsmen’s Days Parade on Saturday, July 12, 2008 at 10am. The theme of the parade is “Celebrating 200 Years in Franklin County.”

Franklin County, NY, which celebrated its 200th birthday on March 11, will host a county-wide bicentennial celebration Saturday, June 14, 2008 at the Franklin County Fairgrounds. The day will begin with a parade at 11AM along Main St., Malone, beginning at Pearl St. and ending at the Fairgrounds. Spectators are encouraged to watch the parade from either Main Street or the grandstand at the fairgrounds. The day’s many activities include: historical displays, Civil War re-enactors, children’s activities and games, tug-of-war competition, musical entertainment, dance performances, and a puppet theater performance. The Bicentennial Ceremony will follow the parade, and a Flag Day Ceremony will take place in late afternoon. The Malone Post Office will provide special postal cancellation onsite. Bicentennial Day will end with a concert by the Beatles tribute band “1964 The Tribute” and fireworks. Admission is free ($2/car to park on the fairgrounds) and all activities are free.
